One of my favorite modern art museums in the world, in a beautifully designed building by Renzo Piano along the water. Great permanent collection with famous Koons, Murakami, and and Hirst works.
Modern art in a modern building. Not fan of the temporary exhibition ? The permanent one is worth the money alone! If names like Jeff Koons or Damien Hirst is new to you, then you need to go. Now!
Research the current exhibit . You might have seen a lot of the pieces in their collection, so decide if the main exhibit is worth seeing. Newly built, designed by Renzo Piano-Nice cafe for a sunny day
Absolutely spectacular architecture building. Walk along Aker brygge to reach to this beautiful museum . Must visit
The building is special, so worth checking out, even if the museum is closed (Mon. and before 12/after 5). The art is not everyone’s cup of tea , but there are a few greats in the permanent collection .
The exhibition and collection was ok. The building looks nicer from outside as well . Check out the weird elevator (you have to keep pressing the button). Not a most see in Oslo.
Fantastic modern art museum . The permanent collection is very interesting with many known artists ’ works.
Make sure you visit both the permanent and temporary collection. They are in different buildings. Fantastic experience if you love contemporary art !
Worth a walk around even if you don't go inside. Enjoy the art outside too.
just like the SF MOMA, the building architecture here is just as much the star as the artwork inside. plan to spend at least 2-3 hours inside and soak it all in (and the Wifi !)
Odd-shaped galleries but good shows- currently Dan Colen, Damien Hirst . Great location also right by the water.
Best collection of modern Art I've seen in the one location. Props from the Cremaster series, works from Jeff Koons , Damien Hirst , Gilbert and George and a giant-ass Marakumi sculpture . Amazing
Contemporary art is not my favourite, but this had some lovely pieces. Worth a visit for the cafe along the harbour !
Permanent exhibit is awesome, save plenty of time for it. Building architecture and café views are pretty amazing as well .
The best is info zone where you can sit, relax, get more info about museum and access to free wi-fi!The museum collection is incredible!
The Damien Hirst exhibition is here for October and November. A must-see for everyone. The museum is beautifully situated by the fjord.
A contemporary must-see in Oslo. Great works by Damien Hearst, Jeff Koons and Bjarne Melgaard, in a charming architecture by Renzo Piano .
Interesting architecture by Renzo Piano Building Workshop. I liked many things in the exhibition of the museum collections.
Amazing gallery space by Renzo Piano with great temporary exhibitions
Beautifully situated art museum , large gallery space, cage overlooking the water. Exhibitions rotate and are often cutting edge.
Amazing nordish architecture with impressive landscape. Strange collection
amazing examples of contemporary art . check out jeff koons 's and damien hirst 's work here! there's a wifi pass on your ticket, use it to listen to the audios with your smartphone, quite informative.

Great contemporary art here. Definitely worth the entrance fee! Love the store/books too.
Beautiful building in a beautiful place. Great experience and a very good museum .
A cool museum , nice placed with a great scenery. Especially on a sunny summer day.
Worth a visit just to see the building and its surroundings

J'attendais beaucoup de ce musée et je suis un peu déçue. L'exposition temporaire Israël rapide et un peu vide . La collection permanente de très belle pièces mais un manque d'explications des œuvres
Changing menus depending on season and exhibition. Lovely outdoor area near a small beach area. - Priya Tungrus
I think it depends on what is being displayed. All the exhibitions are temporary. On Sunday, the entrance is free. - Leonardo Assad
