This is a very private beach lined with lovely beach houses. Don't be intimidated by private signs or any security. You have the absolute right to be as high as the highest tide line .
This is the eastern public access point for Carbon Beach . The gate closes from Dusk to Dawn. If you get locked in just head down to the Malibu Pier where you can find stone steps on the eastern side

Not really a good surfing location. Head up to Surfrider! Lots of celebrity houses on Carbon Beach .
