Sandwiches at Brown's rock! Pick any sandwich from the cabinet in the centre of the shop and you won't be disappointed. My faves are the minted lamb , sausage and curried chicken .
Very pleasant staff . Great unique sandwiches . Get there early to avoid disappointment. Look to the middle of the sandwich tray to get the most unique ones.
Apart from selling the best sandwiches in York, they also have many other bakery and confectionery items, drinks and many of your five a day.
If you can't pick a sandwich , you really can't beat the ham salad . Sounds boring but it really isn't! Also good: Roast beef with spanish onions & lamb and mint .
Fresh sausage and bacon sandwich - bigger than the regular sandwiches but has warm meat. And it's the same price made fresh!
