Both the ryokan and the onsen offer an incredible experience. If you plan to sleep one night in Kurama or if just did a day trip, don't miss ending the day in their calming hot waters.

The onsen was fantastic though at 2600 yen, a tad expensive . We had a hire car but you can go by train and get picked up at the station. The relaxation room was exactly that. Friendly , polite staff .

It's amazing to sit in the outdoor bath and look at the mountains as the sun goes down and the stars come out. You can hire towels & robes there.

If you booked in advance, which I really encourage, the offer a complementary shuttle bus to the Kurama station. If going to the onsen only, you may also use this service.

Best Onsen experience . The onsen is located at Kurama, in the middle of the forest . I recomend go here after a walk from Kibune (1-2h easy walking). Not very big.

Great relaxation with family. Recommend to arrive near open time because it's not really wide space.

Go early on a weekday and you'll get the outdoor onsen all to yourself. Then go to the guest room and take a nap.

Good experience, however If you're from Asia, you might not be impressed, it's pretty small single outdoor onsen with out any real views .

Best outdoor Onsen experience (only 1,000 Yen). Highly recommended!

日帰りの露天風呂 が1000円。京都は温泉 と書いていながら温泉 じゃない場合があるけれどここはちゃんと温泉 。清潔 で雰囲気も泉質も良い。目の前は杉林の生い茂る山 なので、春は花粉症の人には辛い。タオルやバスタオルは別料金。ロッカーはお金が戻る方式。洗い場にはシャンプー や石鹸がある。叡山電車の鞍馬駅からシャトルバス が出ているので便利。鞍馬寺を散策した後に汗を流すのに最高です。

湯船でゆっくりとくつろげる空間。真冬は寒そう。
