Chai tow kway (fried carrot cake ). Enjoyed a breakfast plate from Sin Yong Kee #01-36. Chunky, natural flavours with aromatic fried chopped garlic . Enjoyed the occasional charred bits
Vegetarian bee hoon . Enjoyed fresh vege dishes from Su Yuan Xuan #01-14, unlike stalls that offer gluten-only items. Stir-fried cabbages & long beans were crunchy. Curry gravy was significantly spicy
Wantan mee . Enjoyed an above average WTM plate from Joy Junction #01-30, which has hints of seductive sesame oil . Springy noodles , generous char siew slices & vege . Wantans were also well-stuffed. $3
Kopi. Possibly the best coffee at this market is brewed at Soon Xing #01-08. Brew was thick, aromatic & smooth to drink. 70-cents for this kopi-O kosong ‘di lok’ (undiluted)
Blk 20/21 Marsiling Lane Market is one of the 4 popular markets in SG🇸🇬 to start implementing restricted entry on 22 April 2020.
Kaya toast . Kim Leong Coffee #01-40 offers breakfast sets too. Set A ($3.60) uses traditional brown bread & butter; Set B ($2.60) uses generic sandwich white bread & margarine
Uncle Pancake #01-07 prepares delightful mi chiam kueh. I enjoyed mine with ground peanut and corn filling
Kaya toast set. Enjoyed toast from Beema #01-18. Served with butter. Paired well with thick bitter kopi. Standard price $3.60 but stall was kind enough to lower for smaller kopi cup & no sugar/milk
$2 nasi lemak . Aminah Family Food Corner #01-35 offers this affordable meal . Served with omelette , cucumber slice , peanut & ikan bilis . Chilli sauce very wet style & no kick
Plain appam ($1.50). Impressed by the sweet & fragrant appam from Shaj Food Centre #01-04. Homely feel. I only wish I can get them warmer; these were pre-made
Fishball noodles . Lion City 01-118 (red bowl) vs Lai Hua 01-42 (yellow). Sauce for noodles from red was more fragrant. Yellow serves with vege . Both fishballs look like from same supplier: average😬
Prata . Enjoyed freshly-made pratas (even the plain one) from Shaik Dawood #01-31. Dough was chewy, dhal curry thick & flavourful. Stall even serves a dollop of sambal for extra heat
Vegetarian options : specialty vegetarian , prata , dosai, appom, fried carrot cake , beancurd , local snacks , tahu goreng , lontong, peanut pancake , chwee kueh
There's a Singpost SAM machine at nearby Blk 19. U can buy stamps, track delivery , pay bills/fines and even donate!
Minced Meat Noodle Store at #01-11 is good. Price range are #$2.50, $3 & $3.50 for S, M & L.
Economy rice . Home-style dishes from Great Wall Mixed Rice Veg #01-21. Interesting dishes. Curry thick but not very spicy . Stall run by middle-age couple. This plate $3.50
Laksa . Generous portions & ingredients from Chin Heng #01-86. Gravy was creamy & not salty. Rare stall that offers fresh cockles with the serving
Odd-shaped market cum food centre. Hawker stalls occupy the whole of Blk 20, spilling a little into Blk 21, where the wet market is. Toilets separate the 2 blocks. Image: Streetdirectory
Teh Tarik ($1). Thick & fragrant brew from Azizah Aziz Caferia #01-03. Comforting on a rainy day 😊
3 Layer Milk Tea/Coffee: Available at Kim Leong Coffee , #01-40.
Xiang Yuan Wanton Noodle at #01-16. The char siew and wanton with noodle is nice but the soup is lacking the taste. Eat the dry version.
Lor mee . Yummy gravy from Mr Heng Minced Meat Noodle #01-34. Generous ingredients for $3
There is a organic foods and stuffs shop inside market . You can find organic foods here
Ban Mian. Affordable bowls fr Handmade Mee Hoon Kueh #01-15. $3 for this bowl of dry u mian. Minimal ingredients but decently filling
Wantan mee . I found the plate from Xiang Yun Wanton Noodle #01-16 salty. While wantans were tasty, noodle was the thicker, less ‘q’ (chewy) type
$2 carrot cake worth the money. Cheapest carrot cake in Singapore.
Fishball noodles . While salty, at least the handmade fishball noodles from 01-11 had taste of fish . Compared to the other stalls at this market
A place where you could get anything you want except a new set of parent or children and siblings. Well .. Almost anything then.
Cobbler at Blk 19 Marsiling Lane. Find him operating at the alley from the food centre leading to the carpark
Neat, clean & organised dry goods area 🏆
The sliced fish soup at 'handmade mee hoon kueh ' stall gives alot of fish and the soup is even nicer than those selling only fish soup stall. The coffee and tea from chuang fang xin is the best.
The fried you tiao and butterfly bun taste crispy and nice. Stall number #01-16.
Splendid breakfast time to spend with family in the weekend morning!
Beancurd . Lim Chun Heng #01-25 serves silky soft 'tau huay', but it lacks aroma. Friendly serving staff . Popular stall
