Poulnabrone dolmen is a portal tomb - one of approximately 174 in Ireland - dating back to the Neolithic period, probably between 4200 BC and 2900 BC.
Impressive prehistoric dolmen amongst the limestone pavements of the Burren .
We visited this site in the pouring rain and I would do it again. A short walk with much history. Free admission is also nice.

An important and worthy stop.

Say hi to the rocky walls, see the tomb.
The Burren is great, this particular spot is interesting, but not a must-see.
