Ruissalon Kansanpuisto on toiminut turkulaisten ulkoilijoiden ja vapaa-ajanviettäjien keitaana 1800-luvulta lähtien. Nykyisin alue tunnetaan mukavana päiväretkikohteena, sekä juhlien pitopaikkana. Kansanpuiston suurin vuosittainen juhla on Pohjoismaiden vanhin festivaali Ruisrock.
