Loved it! We were seated at the ‘Sinatra’ table, a nook across the bar that is good for 3 people at most. Our waiter was very knowledgeable . I tried blue crab salad and trout , both very tasty.

This is a terrific hidden gem behind Walters- go thru Walters to the door in the rear. The food is the best Japanese I've had in Brooklyn maybe all of NYC. Truly a find. Romantic space too. eat up!

PureWow

Go to the back of the Brooklyn brunch spot and through the door, and you’ll enter another dimension. Karasu features non-traditional dishes like tagliatelle with lobster and smoky butter. Read more

Love love love this place. Speak-easy feel, amazing Japanese food , great service. Taylor as the 'hostess ' is very on-top-of-it and a great ambassador for the entire experience.

Mari

Cool speakeasy in the back of Walter’s . More “Japanese inspired” than true Japanese. They do have a Suntory Highball machine tho!
