One of my favorite bars in Kyoto-super attentive staff that create incredible cocktails . Lovely atmosphere and often live jazz . You could literally be sitting in a bar during the war-very nostalgic!

Sit at the bar & order a Yamazaki . Even if you prefer no ice, watching the drink get made with ice is fun. The gin buck is also great, but not Japanese. Smoking is allowed but still loved this place!

Lovely little whiskey bar in pontocho with jazz music . The Yamazaki whiskey from the oldest distillery in japan was beautiful.

They have a wide collection of jazz LPs. You can also request songs from a really thorough list! A must for jazz lovers.

Great jazz and whisky . Rotating band mostly plays on weekends and some weekdays. There's a 12yr Yamasaki and an 18yr Macallan too - if you ask (English ok).

Old jazz bar in Ponto-cho is very popular for tourists .Expect to pay overrated price for a glass of whisky .But you'll maybe deserve its smokey atmosphere.¥2,000 more for weekend live and seat charge.

Beautiful place & atmosphere, but if you order a whisky sour they'll make it with soda water and serve it in a champagne glass. Other cocktails were pretty good though!

Cocktails are solid, bartenders are really well versed. A little high on the cover of there is live music , but bar is solid.
