There is nothing quite like the frenetic and fleeting seasonality of the upper Midwest to inspire a soulful cook. For Chef Gavin Kaysen, an old soul at heart, this idea beckoned him back home to Minneapolis to open Spoon and Stable restaurant.

One of the best spots in the city - you can’t go wrong everything is delish! They have great seafood - try the swordfish it’s the best combo of flavors. The side of broccoli blew my mind as well .
Best dining experience you can get in Minneapolis! I would definitely order again bison tartare , scallop carpaccio (was so good that I didn't take a picture) and honey desert with condensed milk .
Beautiful dining room, perfect bread and butter, delicious squid ink spaghetti with prawns , mussels , and octopus , and a great duck main. Don't skip dessert . The profiterole was incredible.
Incredibly delicious cooking going on here. Literally everything we had was excellent, but don't miss the stand-out Lobster Gigli, Spaghetti Nero, or Potato Gnocchi pastas . WinstonWanders.
Service is amazing as expected. Drinks - amazing, strong. Food - bison tartare , duck meatloaf sliders & fries . Tartare was delicious as were the fries . Sliders good but ... try something else first.
I highly recommend. The agua chile tataki and the wild mushroom sturgeon soup are out of this world. The Paloma was unconventional but delicious. Great atmosphere, phenomenal flavors.
Beautiful place, open and inviting. Great service. We came late without a reservation . Got seated in the bar and hit great drink recommendations from the server. Delightful and unique desserts .
The food here was great & memorable. The Scallop Carpaccio and the Grilled Heritage Pork were stand-outs & the Tarte Flambé (bar menu) was a good surprise that helped to round out our meal.
Scallop crudo - as good as everyone says. The lamb shank - hearty, in a rich sauce. But the hands-down best dish was the surprisingly awesome combo of creamed spinach topped with fresh cheese curds .
The scallop crudo is the best (and possibly the only) way to start off your dinner . It tastes amazing and looks great on Instagram as well . What else does anyone need? Read more
My steak was cooked perfectly, melted in my mouth. Every dish had all elements of flavor and texture. It was so elegantly comfortable - no dress code.. and such excellent service. DO NOT SKIP DESSERT !
An appetizer of fire-roasted baby carrots made us fall in love with the root vegetable all over again: tender, smoky, sweet, and accented with gentle curry sauce , rye croutons , and sunflower seeds . Read more
As of now, this is the best dining experience you can have in Minneapolis. Every single element of the dinner service was perfect.
Great date night spot with unique farm to table cuisine. I love the bar seating where you can watch the food being made!
Everything from start to finish has been amazing! The pot roast and creamy spinach are the best! Make sure you stay for desert as well !

The pork chop was unbelievably good. The duck meatloaf sliders were also awesome. I'd skip dessert and the appetizers .
Bison tartare and squid ink spaghetti are a must!!???????? -Duck meatloaf sliders and Brussels sprouts were good too. Rabbit was ok, but not our favorite
Without a doubt, the best restaurant in Minneapolis . Amazing wine list and even more amazing menu. Let Chef Gavin Kaysen have his way with you.
Spoon and Stable is a restaurant located in what was once a horse stable , dating back to 1906, in the heart of the North Loop Neighborhood .
If you have a special occasion they will bring you huge cotton candy ! Sweet!
Get the cheese curds ! They're incredible. And if you go on your birthday, you get complimentary cotton candy !
Great new place. Very modern rustic feel . The cocktails are excellent. Get there right as it opens to get the best seat at the bar .
The Seared Arctic Char is unbelievably flavorful, and the saffron froth is savory and luxurious .
Sit at the bar . Order the duck meatloaf sliders
The place was hopping, service was excellent and the pork chop was to die for!
One of the best restaurants in MInneapolis . Service, food and staff are superb.
Fabulous bar and ambience! Menu changes regularly but if at the bar get some dessert and arancini !

Everything we tried here was great. An inventive new spin on classic recipes.
Phenomenal! Impeccable food, excellent service. Difficult to beat. Prices are worthy.
Beautifully restored warehouse space. Food is good but brunch menu is not great.

Love this place! We always take people who are visiting here. Congrats on 2015 Star Tribune Restaurant of the Year.
The hashbrowns are amazing. I was at a loss for words after the first bite!
Get the whiskey sour and the summer choke, truffle soup
Make sure to get a reservation , you don't want to get stuck at the bar ...
Try the old fashioned. The pineapple gives it a slight upside down cake taste.
Bison carpaccio , duck sliders ... And the staff

Very rough around the edges. Sunday evening dinner . Bread service took 40 minutes to arrive from when we were seated...and only after the prompting of our server. No apologies. Standoffish & sterile.
Great food, service and atmosphere!!!
They use Hope Creamery butter. All is well in the world.
Lovely space, great food!
Loved the cacio peppe
Everything.
