Best close lake ! 45 minutes from Mesa. Rent some jet ski 's and drive up there. It is so much fun! They have camp grounds available too! Right next to tortilla flats.
It was absolutely beautiful. Definitely a great place to kick back and just sit and relax.

If you want to paddle use Boulder access south of marina . No motors allowed.

A desert jeep tour is a must. Apache Trail Jeep Tours offer the best tours. You can do the Jeep tour in the morning and check out the rest of the town the rest of the day. Lots of fun! - Mary Dreyer
