Fave place on campus b/c it has the photo film labs! Have to be a photo student to use them, though. Normally not as crowded so the tables in the lobby are a good place to work on HW or read quietly .
Typically very cold so bring a jacket ! Nice central location on campus with an amazing group of professors that teach in the building. The lobby is also a nice place to meet up with other students.
Home of the Helmsman , usually quite cold, lobby is a fantastic place to meet with fellow students in your major, and also professors from different subjects. Usually is a visitor from media relations.
For journalism classes Carrie brown is the shit and so is Spielberger! For photography classes David Horan is the master BAMF and coriana is cool too Richard Lou is just fun!
There are almost always nice quiet places to sit here. Plugs for your laptop too.
Remember that the windows DO open in the classrooms , so you can let in the outside air when the antiquated AC/heating system doesn't know what season it is.
The grad lounge is a great place to nap in between classes ( if you ever get time) Not cozy but quiet .
The department is great, especially PR! But the rooms are really cold, especially the auditorium
Try the water fountain on the third floor to fill up your water bottle.
Welcome constituents ;) We are always looking for good new journalism majors! Come learn about new media like Foursquare here as well as core skills in writing, reporting & verifying info.

Building is old and out of date. Heat and air systems fail often.
