Great selection and obviously the ???? by Munch is a highlight but it has much more - Monet, Picasso etc. Keep out for the room numbers if you want the experience in chronological order.

Beautiful, smallish museum you can visit for an hour or two. Excellent blurbs on the wall guide you through Norwegian art history without pretense. The Munch Room is the highlight.
Great museum . Of course, you have to go there to see the Screamer but there are also plenty of other art pieces that really make it worth a visit.

Great museum to visit - try to go on a Sunday as entrance is free! Munch displays are in room 18/19 but no pics allowed. Be aware that they'll make you check in your bag/purse in the free locker .

A bit disappointed by the 'Anniversary 150' exhibition . No explanations of paintings (you have to rent extra Audio guides). No QR unlike Viking Ships museum . Obsessed with 'security' & bags.

They have Munch's famous painting but I definitely prefer the Munch's museum
Lots of lovely works - the famous Scream is behind a screen and surrounded by oriental tourists taking selfies.
'The Scream ' is in gallery #24. If you make it to the Gallery at ten minutes before closing you can run up the stairs and see it in plenty of time. Oops.
