Worth every minute and yen. Wagashi was so beautiful, smooth and delicate, whereas their warabimochi was the chewiest and softest I’ve ever had. Definitely a meal that captured the beauty of Kyoto.

Really good tea house, mostly frequented by couples and women. They are famous for their chilled glass noodle dessert that gets served with a brown sugar sauce that it's unlike anything you'll try!

Kagizen Yoshifusa. "...one of the best o-kashi-ya (sweet shops) in Kyoto". Cabinetry by the late Tatuaki Kuroda (Living National Treasure) and ceramics by Kanjirou Kawai.

マルコス・ヴァリは横浜のブルーノートでライヴするためにしばしば来日していますが、実はここのくずきり が大好きだそうです。そんな彼が作った曲「MUSHIMUSHI」は本当はもしもしという意味で、歌詞の内容は「もう一度キミと葛切り食べたいなあ」といったもの。地球の反対側に住んでるのに食べたくなるくずきり 、ぜひお試しください。

白蜜、黒蜜 があるが白蜜のほうがややあっさり 。後半氷で溶けてくると少し物足りなく感じる
