Before ordering - greet Aunty really loudly and wear a bright smile... that gets me free tissue , a smile and some chatter ???? oh and extra bowl of soup without asking !
Couple has aged considerably. Still selling prawn noodles . Understandably, prices have increased. A bowl of noodles with big prawns start from $15 now. If they find bigger sizes, those are pricier
The auntie is a true hawker nazi, but thank god the prawn mee is nice.
The soup is scrumptious, can Taste The hae bee and garlic but I would order BeeHoon soup the next time, as the dried BeeHoon and Chilli mix din quite rock my boat!
Order the $8 or $10 version . The soup and prawns come in a separate bowl, and don't be afraid to use your hands. They even give you tissue!
Order the $10 bowl cos it's very worth it. The soup is amazing sweet and unlike others from the seafood ingredients (and not pork ribs ) that it's cooked with.
Very intense prawn taste. Soup is spicier than other places. Very tasty
Comes with generous serving of tasty crispy lard bits
Aunty might loOk fierce n grumpy ... But try smiling at her... She's actually very approachable... GoOd fOod... TOtally wOrth the trip !! and ya... Free tissue !
The prawn noodles here don't have pork ribs like most prawn Noodle places in Singapore
The broth is richer in the mornings... So best to go earlier in the day than later
Prawns perfectly cooked. Be prepared to wait as the auntie is on her own with no helpers.
Best prawn noodles in Singapore. Scary aunty . But she's nice really.
You must be prepared to face a grumpy auntie taking yr order. She also has HER system in place so just place yr order, step to yr left & wait quietly .
Closed on Monday's and Tuesday's
Best prawn noodle ever. Soup is fantastic!
Done with the prawn noodles , will comeback for more!!! It is a MUST TRY...
Do not settle for anything less than the $10 version .
Not worth the price, the queue and the bad attitude.
Jalan sultan prawn noodles beta!!!
So so.. Soup a little too sweet. Prefer East Coast Prawn noodles =)
the soup was almost bland. tastes like prawn flavored water. it's not the size of the prawns that makes prawn noodles good.
Freshly made chee cheong fun that even Chow Yuen Fatt approves! - Mag TY
Decent prawn noodles. Cheap and good. Prefer this over the super tao Wah Kee. - Ting
Good kaya toast and eggs breakfast set ($2.2), much cheaper than what you would find at Ya Kun and with better Kopi! - Ting
They prepare the black sauce style WTM. Popular w diners here - Cheen The Curious
Easy and good. Worth going because the TWO Michelin’s guide noodle places are right across from each other. - Juberish Gibberish
Still the best ! Go for $10 for big portion. So your queuing time is worth it ! - Erik Ie
Tat Kee Noodles: Underrated! Order the stewed beef noodles! Portions are large! - LH Sim
