Alaska’s only public aquarium and ocean wildlife rescue center. Visitors to this “window on the sea” have close encounters with puffins, octopus, sea lions and other sealife while peeking over the shoulders of ocean scientists studying Alaska’s rich seas and diverse sealife.

An absolute favorite of mine - a solid research facility with beautiful animals from the region. Look for bald eagles on the treetops and utility poles around the facility!
It's small but it is worth it. You can see sea lions , seals ... You can also touch sea stars!
Smaller than expected, but with some interesting parts. Most of the animals pretty "lazy" in the afternoon with limited movements ;)
If you have time take the behind the scenes tour . You will learn all about the rescue efforts the center participates in.
the stellar sea lion is a total flirt! Take your picture in front of the tank. Great for kids.
