Visitors to the exciting European Solidarity Centre are walking through this historical port no. 2, which belonged to the original Lenin shipyard, which was much in Western media in 1970th and 1980th.
That's where the historic Solidarity movement started and where the Polish 1970 protests ocurred. The Three Cross Monument in front of the Gate commemorates the workers killed there.
A crowd of shipyard workers passed through this gate in December 1970. Then the army started to shooting to them.
