Fabulous cake (I had unbelievably good chocolate cake and my partner had equally delicious carrot cake ). So good that I checked and they are made for the tea rooms . Not cheap but worth it.

One of the best experience cafes I've ever been to. It does feel like you visited the forties as they try to make absolutely everything in that style

1940s themed restaurant . Female waitress wear napkins on their heads. Note that the sandwiches are served cold. Igor set is very interesting has tea , sandwich , scones and dessert .

AMAZING wartime vintage cafe ! Serves a variety of teas and sandwiches ! Plays old radio music and really is the only place to go in Stratford for lunch !!

Excellent cake , great atmosphere, very busy when I was there and cost £15 for cakes and drinks for three of us but worth it.

If you are Muslim, Jewish, Hindu , vegan or vegetarian , you are not allowed to enjoy the afternoon tea experience. Only for those looking for an authentic , authoritarian, fascistic 1940s experience.

Afternoon tea is now £12.50 but still incredible value . You can order it for lunch , but only do so if you are hungry!
