Highly recommended lunch place. The staff is very attentive and seem to really enjoy working there. The food is delicious and original. Everything is good. Treat yourself to an advocaatje as dessert

Had the shrimp salad sandwich (not the actual name)+ excellent cappuccino that came w delicious almond pastry of which I had to have more. Very comfortable atmosphere for dining solo or w company.

Very minimalistic interior with friendly server ! Coffee and tea come with a mini friand pastry . Yogurt with granola and fruit is deliciously crunchy and filling.

Great food! They serve the best bitterballen in Amsterdam! Try the mixed ones (lobster , beef,cheese) they were Devine! the apple pie is must it comes from a bakery owned by the same restaurant owners.

Great cafe for catching a break from the hustle and bustle in Amsterdam. We got the rillette and the steak sandwich . The rillete is good and the steak sandwich was to die for! Recommended!

It was a good opportunity for me to try some dutch cheese for breakfast , and I was not disappointed. It tasted like heavenly cheese and that simple breakfast with the place great service made my day!

The fruit , yoghurt and granola is great. Same holds for their coffee . Overall it's a very nice place, with good service and nice staff . Works well not only for breakfast and brunch but all day long.

This place is excellent. Delicious decaf coffee and fresh tea . They put two tables together for us and we’re kind and helpful. Great music at a gentle volume made Kessens perfect for a quiet break.

Loved the Gravad Lax and Welsh Rarebit we had for lunch . The staff is really friendly . But I missed kanelbullar and/or kardemummabullar on the breakfast menu , instead of the pain au chocolat .

Food was amazing. Accomodating to allergies such as lactose made other alternatives which was lovely. Good environment, great location and lovely staff . What more could you want????

If you're by the Anne Frank house and need lunch , this should be your stop. I ordered the salt steak sandwich with a side of croquettes , it was incredible.
