In 1953 Antonina Janusso was cured from pains while witnessing a weeping plaque of the Madonna in her father´s in law home. Pope Pius XII approved of the miraclous weeping after investigation.

A reliquary holding the original tears cried by the madonna in 1953 may be find in the sanctuary or the crypt below.

Architettonicamente affascinante. La cupola e' ancor più suggestiva dall'interno. Un esempio riuscito di architettura moderna interamente in cemento armato. Ottimo stato di conservazione. Da visitare.

Religione a parte la struttura non è granché. Comprensibile il simbolismo della forma ma all'interno ha ampi spazi vuoti, il cemento la rende scura, anonima e triste, ed è anche in cattivo stato .
