What a nice find. Food was intriguing, with a nice balance of exotic spices hitting on multiple notes. Service was excellent! Yes to pumpkin app , veggie platter (get a good sampling) & ice cream .
Authentic hidden gem , owned by Karzai's bro Qayum. The blend of spices in every dish was uniquely delish, incl their special Afghan ice cream for dessert . Can't wait to try out their Boston location!
The chopendez is a tender, seasoned sirloin cut that is perhaps one of the best cuts of beef I've ever had!
Get the Mantwo to start. Then share the Chicken Kabab and Mourgh Challow between you and your date. Top it off with the amazing Afghan ice cream with fresh mango , dates, and cardamom .
An inviting interior and warm staff welcome you in this restaurant owned by the brother of the Prime Minister of Afghanistan. The Kaddo Borawani (baby pumpkin ) is unforgettable. Read more
Excellent find. Very similar to indian cuisine . Took the veggie platter . Many veg options . Have nice wine collection . Nice ambience with afghani decorations.
It's a Baltimore institution, but much has changed in the Baltimore restaurant scene in 25 years, and it's hard to feel that The Helmand continues to measure up.
Delicious. Leek filled dumplings with yogurt sauce , stewed lamb so tender you can cut with a fork.
I can say the best restaurant in Baltimore. Order the ash soup , and if u wana have steak , go for chopendaz
Fantastic food!!! We've enjoy everything we have ever ordered so far. My husband and I can not wait to return.
Vegetarian ravioli , vegetarian platter , sweet and spicy lamb . Hospitality and service is great!
