The last of the 11 pools financed by the WPA for the summer of 1936, this play center is one of the city ’s largest and most impressive pool complexes. Constructed in 1935 it was Designated in 2007.
A little swim and sunbath session 11:00-14:45 before heading to late lunch during the week while on vacation. Perfect! Would have liked to take in my phone though.
during night owl , be prepared to wait to get in. they have to make sure all the families are out before the lap swimmers can enter
1) bring a lock. Each of ur guest have to have a lock. Just say ur family. But lady have to have a separate lock. 2) Make sure wear proper swimsuit . Basket shorts are Not swim wear.
Lane lines are up during the Early Bird and Night Owl Lap Swims . You aren't allowed in unless you bring a lock.

Remember to bring a padlock
No bags or cell phones allowed on deck. You must have a lock & "swimming attire". They are super serious about this.
Great free public swimming pool
Lifeguards get a lunch break from 3-4p which means you cannot swim at that time.
Get there at 7 sharp for lap swim..it's crowded but great.
There are people selling padlocks outside the main entrance for $5. You'll need one.
Check out the Computer Room for sure!

It's a great place to bring kids
Bring a lock! Will not be allowed in without one. Come early or anticipate a long wait in line .
So worth it. Come M - F for less crowds.
Don't forget a lock! They won't let you in without one.
Don't puke, poop or piss in the pool and try be respectful to the lifeguards (i.e. don't punch them).
