Informative tour of one of the world’s best port wine companies through their cellars, concluded with a tasting of two glasses of port in a peaceful garden setting. Hard to fault. 9/10.
Great place to spend an afternoon. The tour was really good & informative, the tasting was wonderful (4 different ports ) & lunch outside with the beautiful views was delicious. Two thumbs up ????????
Tour and tasting of a Chip Dry and a Late Bottled Vintage is 12€ (price has gone up). Delicious port and cool tour .
Best Port tour & tasting in town . Lots to learn about how Port jds made, and then a solid tasting bar as well . Don’t leave without trying at least the 30 year. The 1967 was phenomenal!
I love this place! Caves with many barrels and so tasty wine . You will pay 15 EUR for visit, tour through caves and tasting of 2 glasses of wine .
Great addition to our trip in Porto. Lovely winery with a short but great tour visit in French. Friendly staff and the location is just amazing.
Food, location, price and quality of port wine . This place really got it all right! The hike up is not for the faint of heart though! But really a gem we discovered on our last night in Porto!
12€ for a audioguide tour with 2 wine tastings . Very informative but you can find cheaper cellars in Gaia.
The terrace and garden were beautiful. We arrived too late to do the tour , but we shared full glasses of 10-, 20-, and 30-year ports for 28€.
A single tasting is enough for 2 people to both enjoy and get a sense of the varying flavors. Peacocks and roosters roam free in the garden
Very nice tour with tasting of 2 Porto wines . Did get quite a lot more expensive than previous reviews though: 12 euro but I think that is the going price nowadays in Porto
I liked the LBV 2009 best. Buy a souvenir bottle at the airport duty free shop (for the same price) if you’re here on a low cost flight without checked baggage.
The most beautiful spot to enjoy the sunshine with a glass of port in your hand. Nice restaurant . It was the waiter 's first day but he made up for his mistakes with a lot of charm.
Tour the 300 year old wine caves and enjoy the Port tasting . Great combination!
The tour is now 12€, it's not made by a guide but with just an audio device and includes only 2 glasses of port . The winery is nice and there are a lot of info panels but it's a bit disappointing.
Worth the walk up the hill for the tasting - it's a bargain compared to the houses on the river and of higher quality plus the river and Porto views are amazing.
Seen some tips suggesting €3 or €5 tours . It's €12pp, and includes a taste teste of a white and a red port . Tour was average. Loved the port though.
Best value for money of all the Port cellars around. And definitely the best view on their terrace . Well worth the walk!
Lovely wine tasting tour , English tour guide is very knowledgeable ; patio has a fantastic view over the city
Guided tour is too short and not so informative, though the tasting is nice and the view from the terrace is amazing
This is the perfect lodge to start at because the tour is the most in depth and informative.
€12 for a nice excursion and two glasses of Porto vine
The restaurant is great with a very nice outdoor seating terrace over looking the river & city . Highly recommended
If you're walking over the bridge from Porto, it'll save a lot of time and effort if you ignore Google's directions and shortcut down through General Torres station
Taylor's is a classic. Impressive experience, enhanced by great guided tour . I recommended the LBV or, if you have money for it, Vintage. I'm sure that whichever you will choose, you will be satisfied
The cheeses were great. With the awesome port of course.
My first cave in Porto, worth the walk uphill. Beautiful garden , felt like in Paradise. Tour was bit short .
The wine is delicious, though the waiters are a bit (very) pretentious somehow.
The tour and Port tasting was good. Beautiful environment as well .
4 glasses of great wine , great ambient, just 15€ to finish a lovely day in the city
Great experience! The glass of 30 years old worths the money!
No need to do the tour , but enjoy their LBV and vintages in the beautiful garden !
Not bad, lovely large tasting room and outside patio . More expensive menu and good not great snacks . Feels touristy .
Beautiful Caves and great garden in the bar to taste the wines
After the tasting, grab your port and take a seat on the balcony .. Great views of Porto
Love this place. Wine tasting . Amazing port . Lovely garden
best beef we had in Portugal. all oter disher were great too
Amazingly beautiful wine warehouse and grounds, try white ports and watch peacock
The tour now is 12euros per person and they only give you 2 tasting of wine which is not even their best. We were planing to have lunch there but then it wouldn’t worth the money. I don’t recommend.
There is awesome terrace for tasting port !
Great atmosphere, polite stuff, maybe the best vintage ruby in town !
Learn about the history of port wine in one of the oldest port companies of its kind.
12 euro for cost-effective long and interesting tour and tasting.
Really interesting Tour and great port wines ! Worth a visit!
Go here for one of the most informative (and enjoyable) Port Tours . Great views . Also the Barão Forrester restuarant is the most beautiful spot in Gaia for lunch .
Obviously adjusted to tourists , now 12 euro for tour and 2 tastings. Hour long audio machine. City maps have extra glass promotion.
Skip the tour and the restaurant , just have a tasting and cheese in the garden
Wonderful place with a terrific view abd amazing wine tasting
One of oldest wine cellar . Must go place in Porto
Great food with an excellent view
Take at least the classic tour and 3 different types of Porto for 5€. Worth every penny. And view is unique :) - Richard Cooper
Best tour in Porto. Best porto. Check the time on the tour so you don't have to wait. But on the other hand, you can have a glass or two while you wait. - Alex G
Great tour in English. We got the one with 3 wine tastings for the price of 4.5€. It was worth it! The wine is amazing! :) - Didka Birova
Beautiful port house. Delicious 20 year tawny port and 2011 ruby. We ordered some glasses of port and a cheese plate and made our own tasting overlooking the hill ???????? - Lai van Beek
Incredible view from the top of the bridge. You can walk through it and visit the other side of the river. Don’t miss this experience. - Pau
Amazing food and wine. Highly recommended. The chèvre with honey and almonds was spectacular and the bacalhau was excellent. Service was exquisite. - Adnan Manjal
