If you're ever in shasta you've gotta stop by the original Black Bear Diner. And if you're not check out one of their other locations in Cali. You won't regret it.
This is the original "Black Bear Diner" restaurant . They are now a chain in California. If you want food similar to Denny's, IHOP, Marie Callenders, but MUCH better, then go here.
Great food, but the service goes down the drain when more than two people are waiting to be seated. Hey Black Bear : when a party of 6 comes in, don't seat them before a party of one. Ever.
Cinnamon roll French toast , sweet cream pancakes , French dip sandwich , tri tip , blackberry lemonade , and the California burger have all been wins.
One of our favorite places. Never had a bad meal and we've tried almost everything.

The day pass for $1/person is a bargain considering the great views you'll be getting of Mt. Shasta. It's better than going to the mountain itself. The best view is from the beach. So peaceful & quiet - NY
