Very relaxing resort . The over the water pavilions are set right on the water in the West Lake . The Sunset bar is a must try with an amazing view . Drinks are reasonable priced, cheaper than Sofitel.
Nice, quiet hotel . Ask if room 859 in Pavillion 2 is available, it is a corner with dual aspect and balcony overlooks the sunset bar and the city skyline. Service a bit patchy, but genuine, no issues
Only 10 mins by taxi from the Old Town Hanoi. It is very peaceful there, comparing to crazy central locations. Amenities are great, wonderful gym with saunas . Breakfast is top notch!
The food from the pool side was great! Ask for the menu from the attendant. We had green mango salad & Vietnamese fried rice . Cocktails are so-so. Costs A$10 for a cocktail . Food is reasonably priced.
Stay at the Metropole for the location and history, but stay at the Intercontinental for peace , serenity and a true haven in the city . Fantastic club staff , worth every cent of the upgrade.

I'm so glad the husband booked this relaxing place after a long flight from Paris. The bed was so soft & comfy , shower has great pressure & temp, view is nice & the pool beds are cushy!!

Very nice InterContinental hotel . Language barrier is problematic. Why have concierge or manager on duty that can barely communicate in English?
Local soup Pho Bo and spaghetti a-la bolognese was the best in my life. Yummy yummy ????????????
hotel is on the out-dated side of decor, but well-maintained. views of the lake are good. watch for the fishermen along the lakeside catching their meals for the day
Hanoi international fellowship has church services here for expats and visitors every Sunday at 10:30am. Come at 10am for fellowship time with free coffee , tea , and cookies !
