The use of architecture to tell the story is absolutely incredible. The linear path, weaving, the walls closing in, and the cold reflection pool. Opening into a grand warm view of Jerusalem. Wow.
Come prepared to absorb a lot of knowledge and get a deeper understanding of Israel, Yad Vashem contains the largest repository of information on the Holocaust. A place our passengers enjoy going to!
Best museum about the holocaust. Plan 2 or 3 hours to visit. The audio guide is not really an added value as there is lot of written explanations and videos.
A well thought out museum , especially from an architectural point of view . The guided tour was really nice and more personable
Always a sad and depressing to visit... But always is a very powerful and profound; depending on which tour guide you have - you'll learn something new every time!!!
Most touching holocaust museum on earth, very moving pictures. Can get overcrowded with large groups so come as early as possible. Open 8:30.
The history and the story of what happened are woven into amazing architecture . Take your time when going through the exhibits , it can be overwhelming.
This is a 'MUST DO' on any trip to Israel! It is so moving, especially the Children's Memorial. As said below, leave 3-4 hours to see it. You won't be disappointed!
One of the best museums i have ever been too. Allow 3-4 hours. I love the structured layout
There isn't a word that adequately describes my experience at Yad Vashem . Make sure to take your time there as I have spent an entire day there and still felt I wasn't there long enough.
President Obama toured the Hall of Names during his visit to the Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum in Jerusalem. Read more
Reveals artifacts and photographs documenting the discrimination, persecution and finally the annihilation of the Jewish communities of Europe.
Although you can do without one, I'd still recommend getting an audio guide . Adds so much more to the experience.
Heartbreaking. But so well done. Fantastic architecture as well .
Remember... Every human being should see and feel יד בשם
It also remembers those righteous among the nations who risked their lives while trying to save Jews.
Schedule half a day for the museum and take an audio guide . It's definitely impressive
It's a sorrow but no one allowed to take pictures inside. And you need min 3 hours to briefly review all exhibition . Take more water and patience with you! And be ready to cry, if you're sensitive.
Don't take a tour . Go through the museum on your own and give yourself at least 3 hours to walk around.
Definitely a must-see!
Must see, prepare to learn and absorb history, so it may never repeat itself...
Amazing place.just wish we had a longer stay
You'll need to bring tissues... and comfortable shoes !
So heavy; however an amazing experience! Loved the beautiful tribute in the Hall Of Names .
Great museum tour very emotional
Hard to see, hard to listen, but you should do it.
Moving. Hands down the best museum about the Holocaust.
No infants or children under 10 allowed in the museum . There are other things to see here though. :)
Bring a Kleenex-- Especially to the last room. Get ready to cry a river .
Take your time, it's really impressive. Don't forget visiting the Children's memorial.
Let yourself be here at least for 4 hours...
An important place to experience no matter what religion or belief sets you subscribe to. Read more

An amazing experience, I wouldn't leave Jerusalem without seeing it!
Very emotional.
Closes at 7:15p on Thurs NOT at 8p as listed on their website.
Contrary of what it is said, better plan 3 or 4 hours to visit than the 1 hour indicated.. Impressive
Museum of tears
Sobrecogedor.
This place punches you in the gut...
Free, but you pay for the audio guide. A bit overwhelming with all the information, so don't even try to listen to everything as you won't have time. You have to visit. Take it all in. - Amaury J
Architecturally it's spectacular. It's like a section on the hill! The Hall of Names it's out of this world! Magnificent! Touching museum and necessary, so people have to remember their history... - Kyriakos G. ???? ????
On the floor are the names of 22 Nazi murder sites - extermination and concentration camps, transit camps and killing sites - chosen from the hundreds of murder sites that existed throughout Europe. - Hannah Kaye
On a hot day there's a nice summer breeze on the top, beside the Herzl tomb. Rabin, Jabotinsky and Golda Meir are buried nearby. - Luigi Santos-Hammarlund
