This market is way much better than Carmel market in Tel Aviv. The vendors are much nicer, the market is cleaner, the prices are friendlier. Lots of choice and lots of great spots to eat there.
If you come here and are hungry, for God's sake try something other than falafel ! Try Kubeh (Iraqi) at Ima Kubeh Bar or at Rachmo. Try Hatchipouri (Georgian) at Hatchipouri. Be bold and daring!

Be sure to check out the secret Iraqi Shuk in the alleyways off the outdoor shuk - the opposite direction of the indoor. Try to join the backgammon games and be prepared for strong Turkish coffee !

Went there for lunch on a Friday and it was way too crowded with everyone preparing for Shabbat . It’s nice to experience that, but I preferred coming back on a Sunday. Mostly a food/snack market

Go there at night! You will find inside some very nice bars and street food places
thursday or friday is the best time to be there when everyone is shopping for shabbat . the frsh baked pastries , fresh produce are incredible!

Definitely one of my favorite places in Israel. When strawberries are in season they are amazing.
Get the best fresh olives there! Go down the main covered entrance, about the 3rd left alley, 1st stand on the right. Get the best nuts/dried fruit - the main open aisle, called Moreno (yellow sign)
See Uzieli, the Yemenite healer man. Enter open shuk from Agripas street and make the first right into an alley. Walk to the end of the alley and there you will find a stall that sells healing juices .
For lunch , go to azura restaurant , near the iraqi shuk ! And ofc, eat azura!
