You can’t do this park in anything less than a full day. It’s *very* big and there’s tons to see. Hot springs , geysers , wild life viewing , and other geological marvels you won’t find anywhere else

Yellowstone is the world’s oldest national park . Established in 1872, it is nearly 9000 square meters in size, covering parts of three US states . Since 1978, it is a Unesco World Heritage Site.

Least amazing how different each part of this park is. From mountains to grasslands, to geysers and springs! Never something that is the exact same!

The sulfur smells with the mud pots and geysers , but it is a gorgeous wordly wonder. Check out Beehive geyser as it is is longer and bigger than old faithful . It's right next to it too and is random.

Plan to spend at least a full day wandering the trails and geysers at Yellowstone. While on the road , look out for buffalo crossings and don't be surprised if a herd slows down your trip home!

A beautiful place to visit with all sorts of wildlife to see. Artist Point and the "lower falls" were an absolute must see. Mammoth Hot Springs and Old Faithful are too.

Hiking Mt. Washburn can give you a close up look at resident bighorn sheep, as well as countless other wildlife sightings. It's a fantastic hike to take for wildlife viewing .

Talk to the rangers: you'll learn lots about the park . Fall/winter=good time to avoid crowds. Avoid restaurants etc. run by Xanterra: whilst some staff is great, many are simply grumpy and snobby.

A great park to visit with all kinds of activities for the whole family. I'd recommend checking out the geysers at Upper Geyser Basin, especially Grand, Riverside and/or Beehive, if you can catch it.

The Lower Falls of the Yellowstone Canyon are a must see! For an excellent vantage point of Grand Prismatic , hike up the mountain directly across from it. The oranges and blues stand out beautifully!

The Grand Canyon of Yellowstone is a must visit, along with the lower and upper falls. The hike along the canyon is as beautiful as it gets. Plenty of wildlife if you keep on the lookout:)

What's good here? Everything. Bring a good camera with long range lens...you will be taking photos of bison and elk from at least 25 yards away...a cellphone camera just isn't going to cut it.

Uncle Tom's place is the best. As a trick, if others parked on side, you should stop. There might be a wild animal :)

A place I can hardly believe is real. Drive safely during bad weather, roads get snow packed fast. See everything you possibly can!

Beautiful place for a day trip or to stay overnight inthe Great Lodge . Just watch out for Bison , as my brother and I learned in 2009. Bison have no qualms about expressing contempt for passing cars.

You can tell from past visits the changes from global warming here at the park ! See it before it changes anymore than it has!!

A geological wonder. Plan at least 2 days there. Be patient and see old faithful erupt.

Entering the park from the north over mountain is a fantastic trip in itself.

Go for the geological wonders, stay for the amazing wildlife and wilderness experience. But stay on the trail and don't tease the Moose!

For me, this is the best national park . I've been here in summer and winter. Yellowstone never gets old!

Best experienced in a pair of hiking boots . Not a car, and certainly not an RV.

The architecture of each of the lodges are worth a visit.

Watch for animals and idiot drivers. People who rush through the beauty and splendor have no business being there. Enjoy the majesty that is Yellowstone.

Great Fountain Geyser has a 4 hour prediction window, but is sooo worth it!

Yellowstone's caldera, a 37-by-25-mile volcanic feature at the center of the park , has erupted three times. I want to see that!

Plan to stay a week. Unless you are constantly on the go, you won't be able to see everything.
