You can’t do this park in anything less than a full day. It’s *very* big and there’s tons to see. Hot springs , geysers , wild life viewing , and other geological marvels you won’t find anywhere else

Yellowstone is the world’s oldest national park . Established in 1872, it is nearly 9000 square meters in size, covering parts of three US states . Since 1978, it is a Unesco World Heritage Site.

Least amazing how different each part of this park is. From mountains to grasslands, to geysers and springs! Never something that is the exact same!

Imran Ahmed

The sulfur smells with the mud pots and geysers , but it is a gorgeous wordly wonder. Check out Beehive geyser as it is is longer and bigger than old faithful . It's right next to it too and is random.

Adam Michael Sacks

One of the most popular National Parks .This is a must see park for every traveler near and far.Don't get closer to any wild life than the park permits.Friendly service throughout the park .

Krishna D

Great place to watch nature and wildlife , allow two days for the least to go around the scenic loop trail . Also each visitor/information center here has a different theme, worth checking them.

Diana P

Leaving the Park , take the Cook city to Red Lodge route via the BEARTOOTH HIGHWAY. One of the most scenic mountain routes in the US. Red Lodge is a great town to stop in for a bite to eat or a drink.

Plan to spend at least a full day wandering the trails and geysers at Yellowstone. While on the road , look out for buffalo crossings and don't be surprised if a herd slows down your trip home!

Khayyam Jones

A beautiful place to visit with all sorts of wildlife to see. Artist Point and the "lower falls" were an absolute must see. Mammoth Hot Springs and Old Faithful are too.

National Wildlife Federation

Hiking Mt. Washburn can give you a close up look at resident bighorn sheep, as well as countless other wildlife sightings. It's a fantastic hike to take for wildlife viewing .

Talk to the rangers: you'll learn lots about the park . Fall/winter=good time to avoid crowds. Avoid restaurants etc. run by Xanterra: whilst some staff is great, many are simply grumpy and snobby.

Tammy Walquist

A great park to visit with all kinds of activities for the whole family. I'd recommend checking out the geysers at Upper Geyser Basin, especially Grand, Riverside and/or Beehive, if you can catch it.

Karen Briggs

The Lower Falls of the Yellowstone Canyon are a must see! For an excellent vantage point of Grand Prismatic , hike up the mountain directly across from it. The oranges and blues stand out beautifully!

Holder of the Guinness World Record “Oldest national park ” and was given its status in 1872 by US president Ulysses S Grant

James Herdeck

The Grand Canyon of Yellowstone is a must visit, along with the lower and upper falls. The hike along the canyon is as beautiful as it gets. Plenty of wildlife if you keep on the lookout:)

Didi C

What's good here? Everything. Bring a good camera with long range lens...you will be taking photos of bison and elk from at least 25 yards away...a cellphone camera just isn't going to cut it.

Gorkem Unel

Uncle Tom's place is the best. As a trick, if others parked on side, you should stop. There might be a wild animal :)

Crystal Faunt

A place I can hardly believe is real. Drive safely during bad weather, roads get snow packed fast. See everything you possibly can!

Konstantin

Beautiful, gorgeous, beautiful, amazing, beautiful, gorgeous, beautiful, amazing, wonderful!

Brett Wallace

Must-sees include wildlife , geysers , prismatic pools. Bring binoculars and/or a scope!

Mark B

Fantastic National Park . Immense. Need several days to get a comprehensive look at the whole park .

Andrew C

One of the most dynamic geological areas on earth. Drive to the major sites or hike on over 1000 miles of trails . Watch out for wildlife .

Wyo Lifestyle Mag

The first national park , and 98% of it lies within Wyoming's borders. How lucky are we?! An American icon -- and one that we love to talk about in our magazine and on our blog!

Donna McSwain

A wonder of the natural world with breathtaking scenes & wildlife galore!

Amy Guth

Beautiful place for a day trip or to stay overnight inthe Great Lodge . Just watch out for Bison , as my brother and I learned in 2009. Bison have no qualms about expressing contempt for passing cars.

J B

You can tell from past visits the changes from global warming here at the park ! See it before it changes anymore than it has!!

Chad Hembree

A geological wonder. Plan at least 2 days there. Be patient and see old faithful erupt.

Nick VdP

Totaly in love with this place! It is like you step into another world ????

Yellowstone in winter is mighty cold, but the scenery is just So Right. Drop by The Shack in Jackson, Wyoming to grab a new camera to capture the magic.

AD Nys

Enjoy! And establish a rapport with the wildlife . Yellowstone is a special place.

Norris Geysers ...incredible! And don't forget the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone . Absolutely beautiful.

Entering the park from the north over mountain is a fantastic trip in itself.

Go for the geological wonders, stay for the amazing wildlife and wilderness experience. But stay on the trail and don't tease the Moose!

John Slater

For me, this is the best national park . I've been here in summer and winter. Yellowstone never gets old!

Doug W

Best experienced in a pair of hiking boots . Not a car, and certainly not an RV.

Cari D

A must see once in your lifetime.

Chad Hembree

The architecture of each of the lodges are worth a visit.

Thomas Seener

Watch for animals and idiot drivers. People who rush through the beauty and splendor have no business being there. Enjoy the majesty that is Yellowstone.

Sandra Gran

Great Fountain Geyser has a 4 hour prediction window, but is sooo worth it!

OnStar

Yellowstone's caldera, a 37-by-25-mile volcanic feature at the center of the park , has erupted three times. I want to see that!

Amanda Honigsberg

Plan to stay a week. Unless you are constantly on the go, you won't be able to see everything.

J. Gardiner

The wildlife , trails , trees ! Yellowstone is the whole Nike yards!
