国宝 。桃山時代の武家風書院造りの代表格。豪華に装飾された車寄に続いて遠侍・式台・大広間・蘇鉄の間・黒書院・白書院の6棟からなります。鴬張りの廊下が有名（近年は絨毯が敷いてあってあまり鳴らなくなりました）。建物面積3,300平方メートル、部屋数33、畳は800畳余り。

40藩の重臣50名ほどが二条城 二の丸大広間に集められ、１５代将軍慶喜により大政奉還の意向が伝えられた日本画家 「邨田丹陵」による「大政奉還図」はあまりにも有名（大政奉還図の大広間とされる広間の壁、襖絵は実際は黒書院のもの）
二の丸御殿 は二条城 の築城の翌年の慶長8年（1603）、将軍上洛の際の居館として徳川家康により造営されましたが、現在の二の丸御殿は寛永3年（1626）の後水尾天皇の行幸に合わせて改築されたものです。
【国宝 】二条城 全体が国 の史跡 。その中でも二の丸御殿(遠侍及び車寄・式台・大広間・蘇鉄之間・黒書院・白書院)が国宝 に指定されている。

beautiful place. there are a small cafe that offer outside or inside Japanese house. they serve tea and sugar cake . the sugar cake are awesome and you can by more for home. and they expire in 10 days - Mohammad ????????
