Large and late opening Victorian styled pub with two bars , lots of seating, many, many beers and even a lovely roofed courtyard area. Ticks all the boxes, once of the best pubs in the City .

Lively pub with a nice outdoor seating area . Nachos with pulled pork were delicious. Steak and ale pie was decent, without being outstanding.

Very nice in the tudor bar . As with all Nicholsons pubs (mostly found in London but a nice surprise to find many in York) seasonal ales mean there's always something new to try for ale fans.

The Old White Swan is a superbly presented example of a traditional 16th Century pub , wonderful Victorian style covered courtyard , welcoming atmosphere, great food & drink, like coming home.

£10 for two huge portions full english breakfast with drinks. Wonderful services as well .

Wow the locally produced sausages are great. Go for bangers & mash . I had pork & ale , son had wild bar & apple . Both great. Beer very good too - real ale
