Look for the couple of Lions. From which period of time are they ? The answer is tricky, the one on the right is Roman found in excavations. The one of the left is a renaissance copy.
This is pretty much the main Piazza in the City center where the Palazzo Vecchio is located. You have the other David statue and numerous other large sculptures from the likes of Donatello.

Nice piazza. Some pretty cool statues including the replica of David. Busy and crowded but still worth a visit.
If you don't want to pay 11 Euros to see the real David, this is the perfect place to see the marble replica that stands in the place of the original statue
