Excellent location and very friendly staff . Good option for a luxury hotel that caters well to tourists
One of the 1st tier hotels in Kyoto full of grand old charm. There is Yojiya Cosmetic Shop within the Hotel . Directly connected to Subway Tozai Line , Kyoto-Shiyakushomae (Kyoto Cyty Hall) station.
This hotel has shuttle between from kyoto station(okura welcome center) and the hotel . Two times per one hour. But it is hard to find on the hotel homepage. Ask hotel staffs !!
Most amazing shower I've ever had in a hotel . Hot and full of pressure.

Hotel is not a 5 star hotel.This is in line with a Motel 6 in US in terms of the room. Lobby is nice with marble but crowded with non-hotel guests at times that appear to want a perch .Staff are great!

6階の和食 、入舟。京料理と謳うだけあり若竹の煮物、焼き魚 さより。美味しゅう御座いました。
地下のパン屋 が安く ておいしい。
夜間のイルミネーションは本当に圧巻です。サービスもすごく良い！

We loved this hotel. Great rooms. Helpful staff. Breakfast was meh. Room service was great. Check out the convenience store on the lower level for cheap sake and whiskey. - Kendall
