Injured birds/wildlife can be taken to SPCA Wild ARC at 1020 Malloch Rd, Metchosin. Or call them for help at 250-478-9453. So grateful for the amazing volunteers there! They always need donations too.

The best spot in the GVR for a brisk ocean swim with an epic view - looking across the straight to the Olympic Mountains .

A pictureque place to hike , watch the sunrise or just hang out. Especially great for waterfowl watching. Bring your camera next time if you forgot!

Watch for cars especially if you are on the lagoon side. Speed limit is rarely obeyed, especially on weekends and morning drives to work.

The view and piece and quite. Beside the cars driving by. But so beautiful.

If you feed the birds, give them crushed corn/grain. Bread makes them sick. Feed them right at water's edge, not in the parking lot , so they don't get hit. Also, swans need to drink as they eat.

Still some beautiful views but not as peaceful As it used to be. Lots of traffic and lots of people.

Great place to run on the beach . Beach running is a ton easier on the joints than pavement, highly reccomended by most fitness guys (& me!)

Sea glass collector? Check it out at low tide, some treasures to be had.
