My favorite part of the Biltmore . Some of the dryer reds are quite excellent...but I think it's because they source their grapes from the West coast.

The Champagne (Bubbles) tour is lead by a wonderful man with a wonderful sense of humor. I didn't catch his name but he made the entire experience perfect!

The winery and restaurants are amazing, the house is a historian's dream, and the gardens are spectacular in the spring!

Skip the premium tasting and go for the free one. Very nice wines . And lots of people around to chat with. No pressure to buy wines either.

Ask which wines are 100% North Carolina. Some of them are made with grapes from California (and bottled in NC).

Their seasonal selections have yet to let us down and the label artwork is by local artists .

Friday nights live music and people with picnics and wine from winery and select cheeses are a great time to go.
