We were visiting because we saw this documentary about the barbecue trail and learned that Obama was here! We were not disappointed: great BBQ , also you have to try the corn pudding ! It’s amazing!

for vegetarians , the MLT is absolutely killer, and don't forget some BBQ sauce to dip the crust in. generous portions - the cheese grits and sweet potatoes are excellent.

The 5 Riverside Dr location is now closed. 12 Bones will reopen in February 2017 at a new location at 5 Foundy St which is just a little south of the old location off Lyman Rd.

This is Asheville BBQ . Great prices, huge portions . Owned by two culinary school graduates, it shows. Local beer taps. Only open Mon-Fri from 11am-4, lines are usually shorter in the late afternoon.

I had the chopped beef brisket with side of the Smoked Potato Salad and Buttered Green Beans & added 3 Bones of their Brown Sugar rubbed Ribs . Add a Pisgah Pale Ale and your golden.

Really disappointing bbq . Ribs only show smoke ring on the bottom half, yet come steaming hot to the table. Poor smoking combined with steaming/microwaving to finish = flavorless and tough bbq .
