Good value hotel 4 the locale, but eat @ the Woktastic sushi & noodle bar at night. Full English breakfast should be 3, so shop around if it's offered. Decor in some rooms is a bit dated. Superb staff
Could do with a face lift . Decor a bit dated. I have been coming here for the last 4 years and every we are told that this will be are last as the hotel is beibg demolished!
Definitely faded quasi-grandeur but it's a clean and functional hotel with plenty of space in the rooms and comfortable beds .
If using a debit card then you will be charged in advance for your room and you will not have access to in room movies etc... So to make your stay pleasurable use a credit card!
Warm brownie with nuts and ice cream is amazing! Beware Caesar salad has copious amounts of anchovy .
New Singaporean restaurant great. Good breakfast . But bedroom shabby with peeling decor, dodgy TV , broken lights. Service from staff excellent.
The authentic Oriental dishes at the restaurant are a definite must-try.
If you can, choose another place to eat. The food is better if you venture away from the hotel . The hotel is superb value though.
There's a ChargeBox here, so you can charge you're phone securely in one of the lockers- useful if you've forgotten to pack you're charger!
George, the event/conference organiser, rocks :)
The bar is good
Very big room . Comfortable with price.
If u need to get internet from your room to use from ur laptop, pls request before u book it.
Their hokkian mee is good.
Asian restaurant is decent, but rooms are like stepping back in to 1971. Looks nothing like the contemporary decor shown in the pics on the website. Avoid.
Stayed here for 4 conferencees. Ever since the first occassion the service has gotten worse, the rooms less accessible, and smaller and this is the worst conference hotel I have used.
Has wifi ! No login needed, just search and join
DO NOT stay here. A 5am fire alarm showed that the staff has no ability to manage a serious crisis as they all disappeared leaving the guests to burn and die should there have been a real fire.
Ok, bit dated
Stayed here many times in the past and always good. Now has a decent Singapore restaurant with a lunch-time two course special if you're wandering past. Bar is cool, usually quiet , good place to work
Singapore restaurant located in the Copthorne Hotel. £5.95 two course specials at lunch-time. Bar, coffee, newspapers, etc. Easy access from city centre. Decent place. - Dave Conroy
Rooms very clean, location very convenient - just 500m from main train station (if you need to go to airport in the morning - it's perfect). - Piotr S.
Nice vegetarian breakfast, and fabulous customer service!!! - Kerie doyle
Great city centre hotel with amazing food (steaks) and breakfast - Luca Baron
Great food at The Oak Kitchen. Now do a take away option!! - Marc Frankl
