My mother and I take a trip to MK at least once a month, Pret is by far, after trial of other places, the best and only place we now go for lunch to refuel for the second round of shopping!

They charge VAT if you eat in, but not if you takeaway . Tell them you're taking away , then grab a seat in the much quieter area outside. Cheaper and more pleasant all round.

Don't ever say that you're eating in. Take away but eat in anyway and you won't get charged extra for the pleasure. What? My £2.99 isn't enough to cover the cost of eating in?
