Arguably the best bakery in the state of California. Incredibly fresh baked goods with cheese bread to die for. If you're headed to Mammoth, be sure to stop by.

Love stopping here on my roadtrips up the 395. I tried the turkey soup this time and it was delish. Also, be aware of the long lines and treacherous parking lot ...but it's worth it.

Stop by Schat's after leaving Mammoth and the parking was pack and so is the line inside. Got the chili cheese bread that is delish and the olive bread is so soft. There are two paying lines .

Must stop if you go through Bishop. Fresh bread of all kinds. Try the Pecan Pulls. They are awesome!

Perfect sunday afternoon post mammoth dinner = whole hot pastrami on sourdough with swiss cheese + tomato + mayo + sauerkraut and a bowl of turkey vegetable soup .
