It's a small hike to the peak and the view was just amazing up there. Would recommend visit for sunset / or sunrise in winter. Definitely one of the highlights in our trip.
The entrance fee is 2000Won and you can choose to climb it to see the sunrise or sunset . Innisfree a cosmetic brand is nearby. There is also Lotteria, a burger chain and Dunkin Donuts with Starbucks.
Loved it, especially after being a but disappointed by Udo island . Very busy but oh so beautiful. Performance by the female divers at the bottom of the stairs every day at 1 and 3pm.
Definitely a place worth a visit. Selected by UNESCO as one of the important place on the Earth, this place will enchant you with the magnificent view sculpted by mother nature.
If you're here with someone that isn't hiking up, they can spend the hour at Dunkin Donuts , Caffe Bene, Angel-in-us, etc. There's also shopping around the area. In summary, lots of food and shopping.
Beautiful UNESCO heritage site to visit on Jeju Island . The peak is 180 meters high and you'll need about one hour at this place (hike up and down).
2,000 Won is worth paying. Challenge yourself to walk up, round trip is only 50mins to an hour. Get ready to take plenty of nice scenic views as you head up the top. You can catch female divers too.
My 60-year-old mom ran up to the top, all while singing a Korean song about the area. Worth the climb!
I took bus from Jeju City Bus Terminal to Seongsan Ilchulbong . The fare is KRW3900, it took 1 hr 30 mins to reach there. The admission fee is KRW2000. It is beautiful. I love it!
Truly incredible site. Around 2000 steps top to bottom but well worth it. See the lady diver show and take a lot of pictures.
Sunrises being Sunrises, your experience may vary. Still, wake up! Otherwise you might regret it when you climb and see the purpose built viewing decks.
Well Seongsan Ilchulbong means Sunrise Peak in Korean. It doesn't mean watching sunrise is a must. Its sunset view is equally impressive!
Free path on the left if you don’t want to pay 2000 won entry fee to peak. You get the view from the beach up where the Haenyeo (women divers ) sales their catch of the day.
Seongsan Ilchubong is an extinct volcanic crater and UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site 2000₩ entry fee 180m climb for a great view
Be prepared to hike up the stairs about 180m zigzag route for a magnificent view of the volcanic crater and Seongsan town . Wear comfy hiking shoes and warm jacket to go.
A short climb, but the view from the top and the geographical uniqueness are worth the 2,000 won admission fee.
Place that you simply have to visit in Jeju :) amazing view from the top and when you get hungry, there is a lot of sea food restaurants around.
Going up and down hv diff routes. Toilet available half way. Lots of tourist and restaurants . Got free entrance on the day I went ????
A must do in Jeju. Cheap and beautiful. A bit of a workout to get to the top, but 110% worth it.
The best main attraction in Jeju. Have to climb to reach the peak but worth all the sweat
Mountain is beautiful and an easy hike up the mountain . Great views . Black sand beach but only for sightseeing. Too many people and too dirty .
DO THE CLIMB! No matter how long you will take, I promise the view up there is worth it :)
Really exhausting but it's all worth it! One of the New 7 Wonders of the World and UNESCO Certified National Heritage! ????????
The hike is a lot shorter than you think. Just do it!
Have to say the icon of Jeju, if I ever come again I would spend a whole day here.
The view of the crater was amazing. Should spend more time here especially if you want to get to the peak.

An impressive landmark in Jeju. If it is windy, you might have hard times
It feels like climbing a 50 storey building, but you forget the pain when you are at the top.
Nice for having a short walk if you are nearby.
