Sołdek - Centralne Muzeum Morskie is a museum Śródmieście Gdańsk located in Poland.
ul. Ołowianka 9-13 80-751 Gdańsk Poland
Very interesting spot. You can explore the whole ship (put to sea in 1948) and find out how it really looks inside. There's also a machine to broadcast Morse code and you can tap a signal by yourself.
The maritime museum is very nice, but we didn't really like the exhibition on the Soldek ship very much. It relied heavily on the ship as such and the exposition seemed a little sloppy.
Ship is part of the museum , tickets sold separately. Very nice to see the engine room in detail closely. Takes an hour to make a full tour .
The collier, the first sea-going ship built in Polish shipyards after World War II, is moored in front of the granaries on Ołowianka island . Free entrance with the Tourist Card.
Must see in Gdansk. Amazing ship from 1949. All intact. Feels like one was about to cruise the seas
Quite interesting exhibition but very stuffy inside the ship and museum - no air conditioning , just fans somewhere. Go to see the capitain's working place.
Interesting interior and great view on river bank with crane
I was quiet disappointed in the lack of English inside. Everything was in polish. Otherwise the place barely had anyone inside tourist wise.

Atrakcja turystyczna nie tylko dla miłośników militariów. Statek nie pływa od lat ale można go zwiedzać.
Pierwszy zbudowany w Polsce powojennej statek parowy. A silnik? Zbudowany w ZUT Zgoda Świętochłowice. Pamiętam z akademii :-)
Pierwszy pełnomorski statek zbudowany w polskiej stoczni (Stocznia Gdańska) po II wojnie światowej. Bezpłatny wstęp z Kartą Turysty.
Very bad in terms of explanation. No English on walls or pictures so we can understand what the history is. They just have a booklet with English that isn’t organized with the pictures. Waste of time. - Najebah Marafi
The museum is situated in a post-Franciscan 15th century monastery. Its gothic architecture provides a inimitable atmosphere for meetings and events. In summer the garth can also be used. - Gdansk & Region Convention Bureau
Very vast collections of exhibits and paintings relating to shipping and maritime themes. You can buy a ticket valid for 3 or 4 branches of National Maritime Museum in Gdańsk, which is very economic. - Damian Maruszak
Restaurant with fair prices and a great view! A truly hidden gem :-) - Kim Gammelgaard
Nice river with a few bridges available. Both sides have promanades. One side has many restaurants. Great for breakfast, for an afternoon walk and for people watching. - Murat
