Familiarly known as "The Armadillo" the design is based on an interlocking series of ship's hulls, in reference to the Clyde's shipbuilding heritage, and not the Sydney Opera House as many believe.
Also called the Armadillo, this is concert hall with impressive architecture is one of the city 's best concert venues . This is also connected to the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre.
Was sceptical about seeing a stand 'up' in such a big room , but it really works, somehow. I was on 3rd floor in row W,so as high+far back as poss, but could see + hear everything. Good venue. A+
I honestly thought the venue would be a lot nicer inside, it's quite utilitarian and definitely needs a fancy revamp for being such an iconic building.
Interesting building on the outside, great on the inside.
Decent view even from upper circle. If parking in Multi-story, pay your £7 when you go in and beat the queues when leaving
