It is worth to climb up more over 400 stairs to the top of this tower and enjoy this amazing view of the Florence from each side. It´s one of the thing you have to do when you are in Florence.
People will say the the cathedral 's cupola has the best views of Florence , but the campanile has view of Florence AND the cathedral !
The steps get so narrow at some points even taking an other step is so dangerous. But when you arrive to the top the view is so amazing it worths every minute of it. Going down is another adventure :)
Unlike the cathedral the queue is much shorter here. The view on the cathedral dome is wonderful. However the fence makes taking good photos hard. Also on top there is no cover during the rain.
free and easy to get to! you can climb but the dome has a better view
Come directly after the opening time for a less crowded experience. The stairs get narrow to the top, but the view is amazing and worth it. Only climb the duomo afterwards if you felt ok here.
Go early as the queue will be long, and consider it as a morning workout. The reward is a wonderful view on Florence :)
Excellent view of Florence . If the bells ring while you're at the top, you'll feel a slight vibration in your feet, but won't hear it any better than you do at the base.
No reservations needed to get to the top of the Bell Tower. Endure the 414-step climb and be rewarded with breathtaking views of Florence , including the Cupola !
Looked absolutely incredible! It's a shame that we didn't have the energy to climb to the top. When we come back to Florence we will definitely tick this off the list.
STUNNING view . Especially beautiful this time of year, on a sunny day just before sunset . Few people, so peaceful .
Giotto was called the ugliest man to ever walk the streets of Florence, but he designed what many call the most beautiful bell tower in all of Europe.
The views from the very top are brilliant (but cupola is better anyway). Think twice to climb here if you’re obese: lots of steps and tight passages
The views from the top make the climb worthwhile. The entrance fee ticket also covers the climb to the top of the Dome so make sure you do both if you can... it's exhausting!
84 meters in height and about 15 meters wide, the Giotto’s Bell Tower is the most eloquent testimony of fourteenth-century Florentine Gothic architecture Read more
Definitely worth a climb since it's included in the €15 ticket. Go at sunset , the view is amazing.
Standing adjacent the Basilica of Santa Maria del Fiore and the Baptistry of St. John, the tower is one of the showpieces of the Florentine Gothic architecture with its design by Giotto.
Best view of the cathedral’s dome, but you do have to climb 400+ steps first.
Campanile is a rather good alternative to cupola of Cattedrale as the difference is just 10 meters high. Common ticket to visit Campanile, Cattedrale & The Baptistery costs 15 euro for adults.
Giotto's bell tower is the bell tower of Santa Maria del Fiore , Florence's cathedral , and is located in Piazza del Duomo. Its foundations were dug around in 1298
Buy the tickets here. All is 10 euro. Worth climbing up to see the nice city view and duomo
It is excellent example of Florentine Gothic of the fourteenth century !
Reserve your ticket online. You'll still have to stand in line , but probably just half the time. Our reservation was at 12:30. We naively showed up at 12:30. Waited for an hour and got in at 1:30pm.
414 steps to the top of Florence! Magnificent view and unique atmosphere!
Just something like an "urban legend"... I've seen much more beautiful scenes. Think twice before you climb up all those 414 heart stopping steps .
Unique view of the cupola from here! Also slightly more accessible and less claustrophobic climb
Go all the way up for the best view of the city !
Be polite as you climb up the narrow stairways, let people past and you may be rewarded with a smile!
The fresh air , the cold breeze, the VIEW ???? worth all those steps
Best view of Florence and the nearby hills .
Great views and awesome experience
It is very beautiful to see it from outside
Be sure to bring water with you as there is none to be had once you begin your ascent.
Best place to get a clear picture of the Doumo. :)
Get there early in the morning and beat the lines ! The view from the top is stunning!
Excellent view from top!
Who else would love to see Florence from the top of Giotto's Campanile?
Buy your ticket at the museum and bypass the lines .
Mind the step :) You'll get a great view (although it could be better if it hadn't the security grids)
Get ready for the longest stairway of your life. The view is priceless!
A great view of the Duomo and Florence
Do the climb , it's worth it!
good climb up to good views .
Nice location ????
A fantastic view of the Florence skyline for €6. Beware the 414 steps though!
Up, up, up... 414 times up :-) But the view is fantastic!
Don't bother to climb 414 steps unless it's a sunny day
A lot of steps (don't ask how many I lost count) but the queue can be shorter than that of the Duomo. Don't do it in August like I did. Mad dogs and Englishmen. . . Read more
Worth the climb
414 steps to climb , but it's worth the effort!
Absolutely amazing! Get an online reservation if you can to dramatically shorten the wait or get there super early for a shortish wait in line. ???????????????? - Benjamin ????
Great view from the top, but there can be a long wait to climb the stairs. The audio guide for the palace was informative. The stairs are not too bad, as they start at the top of the palace - Ashley Dando
There Is a quite peaceful park just in front of this place. Really nice - Kaike Martins
Unbelievably beautiful interior - you must go in!!! - Madeline Stevens
Super museum. Modern comfortable feel to it. Clear, nicely organized exposition. Designed better than Uffizi. Plus, moderately priced cafe. - Alexandra Osipova
Considered as the main square in Florence where you can enjoy your time during the day or night! - Khaled ☤
