The Central Park of Oslo . Worth the 1 stop from the center of the city to enjoy the rolling lawns filled with picnics and BBQs.
Quite beautiful, go first in the museum outside the park - so when we walk around the sculptures we already have a context. *the museum opens only for spring/summer
Norwegians literally march to the beat of their own drummers in a loosely organized parade where everyone seems to bring an instrument to play or a song to sing. - Green Guide Editor
If you want to enjoy it a lot, choose a spot on the grass close to the sculptures . There the sun lasts all day and you avoid moving all the time.
Nice green park , perfect for picnic or barbecue . Also, the park is perfect for running and walk your dog (it has a own area for dogs)
Regardless of the statues , this is the central park of Oslo .. Very large and beautiful park with great lakes and variety of flowers .
Gray to walk around and look at the sculptures . You can also bring a blanket and find a spot to tan or have a barbecue with friends
The park is really about the sculptures . You can see holmenkollen ski jump from there! ????
If you go south along the bank of Southern Frogner pond you will see a small river . Follow the path hidden under the trees - and for a moment you'll think you're in the wild.
I went there in winter so it was really quiet , white and really beautiful. And it's in the centre !

The sculptures aren't really fine but the main one is amazing because of its composition. Worth to see.

Favourite museum in Oslo; both the amazing Gustav Vigeland part, the building's architecture AND the temporary exhibitions. Also, don't miss the sculpture biennale recently hosted by the museum! - Elevine Berge
Great playground for small and older children, situated in Oslo's largest park. Crowded in afternoons and weekends, so I recommend coming here early. - Stian Johnsen

One of the most impressive works by Gustav Vigeland is located right in the center of the park after you pass the alley with other sculptures. It’s not easy to understand it’s meaning for sure. - Anya Roxie
