Exhibition Sq. (St Leonards Pl.) York North Yorkshire YO1 7EW United Kingdom
A fairly small art gallery that hosts touring & special exhibitions downstairs as well as having some of its own collection upstairs. Also has outdoor space . Seems to have a specialism in ceramics .
The gallery is very beautiful after the refurbishment. The ceramic galleries are very interesting. The children's activity is the best among all other York museums . Certainly worth visiting.
This is a MUST visit in York, check out the website to know what is on.
Don't miss 'Cliffords Tower' by L.S. Lowry. It has been named as one of Yorkshire's Favourite Paintings - http://www.yorkshiresfavourites.org/paintings/cliffords-tower-york.html
Flesh - impressive body exhibition
Best cakes in York. All homemade .
Lots of fun activities for the kids to do, while you look round.
The cream tea is good value . Service ok. Layout of the coffee shop needs to be improved.
Cream Teas sat out in the sun are worthwhile here.
Cream tea is great but service very very slow
Pretty much everything on the menu is good. The coffee is great, the cakes from Hovingham bakery are delicious. My favourite lunchtime snack is the mushrooms on toast. - Pete Lambert
Excellent food. Perfect for brunch and lunch. Highly recommend the sausage roll platter. Great coffee too. - Oliver Waters
Delicious sandwiches, with really generous fillings. The ham and piccalilli was fantastic and well priced too! - Vicki Senior
Come and see 30 Pieces of Silver, a fantastic contemporary art installation in a unique setting - Julie Redpath
Beautiful church inside and out - definitely a must to see. Compared to all of the decorative churches from around Europe. Always a queue but it moves fast. Landmark scenic - Ish Rai
I loved this place. It's a heaven in York. The most surprising thing is the friendly squirrels playing around. They get very close to people. - Cenk Gümüşcüoğlu
One of the more beautiful city wall walks. Unparalleled views of gardens, Minster, university, neighborhoods. Rest on benches and take it all in. You can “feel” Roman Legionnaires on their watch - Wayne Anderman
