The Big Waterwheel is a outdoor sculpture Lijiang located in China.
古城北入口 (at Minzhu Rd.) Lijiang Yunnan China
The water wheels were man made for tourism and were not an original part of the old town . Water wheel runs by electricity and not by the flowing water.
A rather underwhelming landmark ... penetrate deep into the old city for something more worthwhile.

Massively crowded and not particularly interesting: escape to the smaller streets instead! - Wilson Favre-Delerue
Very beautiful and worth going to take a look. You will need the mandatory Old Town protection fee slip (RMB80) and the Mufu Palace ticket (RMB60) to enter. Place is like a smaller Forbidden City. - Elise ❥
