A very nice and classic patisserie/café on the Piazza de la republica. You pay for the location but don't miss desert and of course coffee !

In 1733 the Swiss Gilli family opened “The Sweet Bread Shop”. The furniture and decorations, still perfect, date back to the 1920s. Gilli is the only example of a Belle-Époque cafe in Florence.

Oldest coffeehouse in town , fine old interiors, espresso for 4€ in case you decide to sit in. Our waiter was in love so his headlessness was acceptable - we adapted ;-)

Milk tastes so delicious in tiramisu !, coffees are good! The dessert with vanilla is also mouth-watering which you can taste lemon a little bit.

Pastries and coffees here are very expensive considering italian standards... Yet, everything is perfectly delicious. Worth a try, definitely! They have free wi-fi as well .

Super snobbish staff ! When you seat outside waiters ignore you. When you try to take everything by yourself, they don't allow you to seat outside , just stand at the bar . Coffee is bad, dolci - good.

Oh, the tiramisu . A tad overpriced at €8, but you're also paying for a front-row seat to the superb people watching in the Piazza della Repubblica. No matter: the tiramisu is really that good.

We stopped here each morning for a coffee and pastry @ the bar . Always seems to be packed with locals at the bar .

espressos and lattes are extraordinary. also the tiramisus and bignes. most of the people enjoy the delights at the bar , not the table.

Had late lunch here.gnocci is good but was reheated!!!! Lazagna too, pity. Otherwise grest place for deserts .tried hot chocolate , tasty but heavy , only for hard core lovers of this drink.

Cappuccino Fredo is not a traditional coffee drink, have it made with Sugar and treat it as a dessert . The Ciambella is real good here as well .

Don't be so presumptuous to sit outside for breakfast . You will seriously annoy the waitress who will then have to serve you.

A 750ml water is 7 Euros, plus 3 Euros coperto (cover/couvert), salad was decent. Skip here and go to Gucci Cafe for an excellent service and good prices.
