Free, great history accessible for kids. Short 7-minute movie , then lots of exploring bunkers, casements. Brings to life stories of young heroes who cleared guns pointed at Utah beach . #neverforget
Loved visiting this a great spot for WW2 history buffs. Only annoying thing was the school tours , the kids do not yet have the maturity to appreciate the events that happened here.
Impressive WW2 site. Find a guid in advance (!) because otherwise it's only holes and concrete. Take along warm clothing because of the strong wind.
This impressive area gives a good insight of the German fortifications and guns. Big craters are still visible which were the result of preliminary bombing by the allies. Only 9 of 225 allies survived
Worth the walk out to the area where the bombardment went on, you can climb down into the craters left behind to get a sense of the power of what went on.
Worth a tour . The holes is the ground make you think about have been there while the bombing was in progress.
Free entrance to a very interesting battle ground. Bonus? Best, most modern toilets we've come across in all of France !

Walking these grounds feels like you're on the surface of the moon. The craters are still here 70 years later. (*no passport needed if you're an American. This land was given to America by France .)
Great historic WWII place. A must visit when you are in the area.
Wow. Just wow.

In winter bring warm clothes . There's a cold wind.

Passeggiata ricca di storia ed emozione. Luoghi fantastici e terribili allo stesso tempo . Tappa obbligata.
Houffa
