The grand loop trail or Juniper trail is beautiful. Around 2000ft elevation so a moderate to hard hike

If you're feeling ambitious, park at the school on the south side and bike up to the peak. Going up takes about 3 hours and coming down takes 20 minutes

For the best views Summit trail to North Peak trail to Juniper Camp to Summit via Juniper trail . It took us approx 5 hours to complete this 7 mile course

Bike advise: Pay close attention during your descent, cars will pass other bikers on blind corners and you will find yourself in deep jeopardy

There are more bikes then cars on the way up but its a short ride with lots to look at.

Poppi pass is $90 and you can come unlimited times in a year

Late September/early Oct are best times to hike because weather is good and you can see tarantulas (not dangerous) walking about, looking for mates.
