Observation deck is very inexpensive (¥770) and offers beautiful views of the city , with stationary binoculars that are free to use. Tawawachan, the tower mascot, is omnipresent and beyond adorable.

Really great welcome to Kyoto when you walk out of the station to see this. Note where it is in relation to the rest of the city & it becomes a great waypoint for when you're biking all over.

Excellent view for ¥770. It's closed at 9pm, don't go around 8:30 'cause you won't have enough time to look around. I wish I could be with my Pearl

Just outside of Kyoto Station , inexpensive , featuring wonderful views of the city . Come at night and use the binoculars ! The level of detail you can see is incredible.

There's a marketplace at the base of the tower that offers a wide selection of varying types of gifts and souvenirs, many of them quite affordable . It's a no-brainer to stop in when at the station.

The free binoculars are great, you can see so much detail throughout the whole city ! Personally I enjoyed this more than Tokyo Tower!

Not so crowded as all the other attractions in Kyoto. Even though it’s a small city with not many tall buildings it still offers a good view .

No need to go there. Nice views , but overpriced and full of people. Also, the way to the top is a marathon of "stop and optional-pay" of different and useful stuff.

展望カフェ がデート向きやしおすすめです。タワー 階下の“京都タワー サンド ”と、展望台 とでお土産 が異なり、京都タワー らしいお土産 やったら展望台 に上がったほうが良いです。30秒で終わる手相占いがよう当たると人気です。地下には大浴場 があり、朝7時から入れます。

京の町家の瓦葺きを波に見立て、海のない京都の街を照らす「灯台 」をイメージしています｡ 　 高さ131ｍは、設計当時の京都市の人口をもとに設定｡ 　 高さは、景観条例に違反していますが、タワー 自体は規制対象となる「建設 物」ではなく、あくまでも下部ビルの「屋上 工作物」という解釈です｡

공짜인 망원경으로 청수사까지 잘 보여요. 전망대가 아담하니 사람으로 붐비는 웬만한 타워보다 좋은 듯. 여행의 시작보다는 마무리에 볼만합니다.

京都タワー の展望室に設置されている望遠鏡は無料で使用できます。B3には浴場 があります。夏場は有り難いですね。

竣工1964年。京都駅の周辺から大体どこからでも見える。今となってはレトロ 調で街とも調和している(ように見える)。

「北山通と京都タワー はほぼ同じ高さにあるというのは俗説」。実際は北山通と東寺五重塔が同じくらいの高さだそうです。

京都駅を出た瞬間に目に入る。伝統的に否定的な意見もあるが、誰がどう言おうと間違いなく京都のランドマーク 。
