One of the coolest interiors in York, makes you feel like you are in an 18th century palace ! Pretty paintings and chandeliers . Huge variety of spirits and beers , some with floral or fruity flavours.

Wonderful ever-changing, well-curated selection of beers , ales , sours, porters , stouts , lambics , pilsners and lagers .

The can/bottle shop has gone! We stumbled down and a private party was on ????

Lost a bit of atmosphere in the move, but it's got a lot more space and the beer is still excellent.

Chairs under the stairs are the best thing the beer selection is abysmal

Soup and stews of the day were underwhelming. Ambiance and drinks were good, but wouldn’t put too much hope in the food.

Crap service, nice drink selection

Delicious food and great beer selection , plus a beer store in the basement .
